I am hopefully going over in May to Regina, Saskatchewan, as a Long Haul Truck Driver.

Hey just wondering if your driving licences for the long haul truck driving trasfer from the UK?

Any info you could give me would be fab

I am aware that I will have to re take my HGV Class 1 License after 6 months and you also have to re take your car after this time .

depends where you are moving to. Most provices allow the car license to be swapped over.

HGV license has to be retaken as will an airbrake course too.

Your car licence gets swapped straight over.

You have to take a few multiple choice tests, as well as an air brake test and driving test for trucks.
