from US to Canada
Hi everybody I have couple questions.I am planing to go to study in
Canada but I have couple conserns first I 'm going to apply for a
studen visa to canada from US (I am Bulgarian citizent) but right now
I am out of status here in US (I came on J-1 visa two years ago)but my
I-94 is still valid it says valid util/S There is not a particular
date of exparetion ,so haw do you guys think is that gonna be a
problem (that I am out of status now in US)?Should I apply for that
student visa? ....Are the canadian officers gonna check for my current
status in US or they just gonna look in the papers...Does anyone knows
just give me an advise ,suggestions ,comments......
Thank you all in advance....

You may find that you cannot apply when your status in USA is suspect.

Re: from US to Canada
Hi,
I can tell this, two of my friends got their canadian immigration as
a cook from detroit office in 2001, both of them were illegal here in
USA. Another friend just got his passport stamped this month who is
also out of status here. So, I don`t think its a problem. I guess
canadian gov. does not care about your immigration status in us, its
not their business either to check your status. Moreover, You will
find no where in the CIC website or any other sources that said a
person without a status can`t apply for canadian immigration.

Re: from US to Canada
You are out of status. You are a criminal. Go back to Bulgaria with the
rest of your communist criminals.

Re: from US to Canada
The best thing for you to do is to apply from Bulgaria. See: www.cic.gc.ca.
