urgent help
hi guys,
Few questions:
I have an Australian passport and wife an Indian. We are looking to fly into Canada. Could you please let me know if either of us need a physical Canadian visa? I suspect my wife does.
I need to go to Vancouver US embassy. Could you recommend any decent hotels around the area? I can not drive so something walking distance is perfect. If not, then I will cab it of course.
thanks,

Re: urgent help
Airport is a long way from downtown. At the airport there is the Fairmont, reasonable little gaff.
The skytrain goes downtown from the airport. My preferences, Four Seasons, Sutton Place, Fairmont Waterfront. A newer one, the Westin Bayshore is not bad either. Older style, Hotel Vancoiver, an old CPR hotel, now a Fairmont hotel.

Just going slightly off topic.
I used to work in a hotel in Calgary. Many Indians flew in to go to the US embassy there (if its easier I don't know). But its an option if its cheaper...

Citizens of Australia do not need a visa to enter Canada. Yes just declare to CBSA along with your interview papers or appointment info that you are going to the US Consulate to get a visa. Im assuming you will have a return ticket.

Re: urgent help
The Fairmont Vancouver is just across the street (almost) from the US consulate.
