What?! REALLY?! Did you get that info from CIC or from the person who called you? Are you in Canada or the UK right now (I can't remember)?
Order your GCMS notes. Takes 30 days.

In the 'UK'.
Apparently, I'm being asked to attend London for an interview regarding our application.
I haven't received an email from CIC address yet.
Waiting on official correspondence.

I'd wait for an official word back from CIC - what did the person who called you say?
Remind me of the background of your application? (If you are comfortable posting it.) Curious to know what's flagged them...

I am currently living in the north of Ireland.
No idea what may have 'triggered' this as my application is rather unremarkable.
I have sent off a case specific enquiry and I won't be doing anything until they validate that information or not.
How do you go about ordering your case notes?

Case notes - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/departm...uests-atip.asp. Costs $5 and they endeavour to respond within 30 days. Make sure you include IMM5744 for each person who was on your application (so if you file the request, make sure your wife signs an IMM5744, or vice versa). I forgot to include it for my husband, so within 30 days the response was "please give us IMM5744 for Husband", and then it was another 30 days until I got the notes.

I'm not down, fortunately, just a bit bemused.
I've sent off a case specific email to the CIC and I'll await their final word on it.
I'm well within the timescale I expected anyways so I'm not in a panic.
In the meantime, I'll also send off for my case notes.
I assume that if I do this online they'll know exactly what I am requesting?

John hasn't posted details of his relationship and I did not want to ask. John, if you feel comfortable we might be able to help figure out what flags set off CIC, but it is understandable that you may not want to.

it's the first I've seen too and I must have been on here on and off for over 7 years now.
Fingers crossed for you that all goes well.

Not unheardof, but exceptionally rare around this forum - I think this is the first I've seen since I joined 2.5 years ago.

It strikes me as very strange - I would definitely be suspicous unless you receive confirmation directly from CIC that an interview is required.

How does CIC normally get in touch with people for interviews? A search for just "CIC ILS Interview" doesn't bring up anything useful.
All very fishy and I agree, lots of caution until word comes from CIC directly.
John - what was said when you called the number back?

Good find - from that bit it sounds pretty straight forward. As Orly said, I wonder if maybe they haven't been married very long or something?
