Hi Guys,

Our employers immigration lawyers have told me that my LMO has been approved (timeline 5 weeks in Toronto ) but they have not received the physical copy of the approval yet.

Problem is my employer has told me to book flights which I did for July 2, NON REFUNDABLE flights.

My question is if I have not received the physical LMO copy from the lawyers by the time I fly but the LMO has been approved is it still possible for the immigration officer to approve my TWP, or is the hard copy a definite must have ? Can the imiigration officers contact HRDSC for confirmation ?

The LMO is the one thing they really want to see (when I got my TWP the woman glanced over everything else but studied the LMO). I'm pretty sure you need a physical copy (my employer scanned and emailed it so I could print a copy off and this was fine for them).

If you don't have it they probably won't let you into Canada without a return air fare.

Thats what I figured alright. I have 9 days to get the hard copy so it will be tight but Im sure it will be alright.

The panic sets in when I hear something like that from an immigration lawyer
