Default Totally confused miller need your Expert Clarification

I applied in CHC NewDelhi on Feb 2000 and waiting for the interview.

Yesterday i visited their web site and seen new updates but it makes
me confused.
http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/new-delhi/whatsnew-en.asp

What i heard from the news groups and consultants is If you not
completed your interview before March 31st 2003 your application will
be assessed under the new rules with pass mark of 70.But in their web
site the information is different. They mentioned that if you pass the
initial assessment before March 31st 2003 you will be under the old
law. Also they have given good oppurtunity for those applicants who
have not gone through the initial assessment stage to take the exam
before Feb 1st 2003 so that they can be assessed before March 31st
2003 in order to remain under the old rule.

I am now in a total confusion

As this information is from the CHC NewDelhi i am 100% sure it is from
the officials source .

Please tell me which one is true?i am really confused? Will CHC
NewDelhi has given any special autonomy by CIC.

The information provided on New Delhi website doesn't say what you claim - it
clearly says that providing IELTS test results prior to February 2003 will
result in making initial assessment decision (interview required or waived)
before March 31, 2003. So, it is only a chance for interview waiver, not a
guarantee, and only if the only reason for the interview would be assessment of
English language skills. If interview is required for any other reason then
providing IELTS results before February won't change that fact and if interview
is held after March 2003 then case will be assessed under new law anyway.

read carefully... it says selection decision before april 1st.. both the interview and the initial assessment are part of the selection decision process as are the background checks, the medical exams etc...

Sorry to jump here but small correction is needed - background/security and
medical checks are not the part of the selection decision process, they are
part of the final decision. As long as selection decision is made before the
end of March 2003 it will be made under old law for cases received before 2002.
Interview (if required) is a part of selection decision process.

Sir

Thanks for your prompt reply. But they have clearly mentioned there
that even if you score 5 or above in the test it is not the gurantee
that your case will be waived because there may be other factors that
may trigger you interview and also even if the applicant meets all the
waiver conditions still some percentage of applicants will call for
the interview to chech the ielts test integrity. Also it is mentioned
that if you have the interview that will be completed before july 1st
2003 i.e after the march 31st 2003.please note how come they continue
the interview in old rules even after March 31st deadline.

In the below they clearly mentioned that if you not get the initial
assessment result by March 31st 2003 you will be assessed under the
new rule.

another thing it clearly states in the last paragraph that if you
decide not to take ielts exams before feb 1st 2003 we cannot able to
assess your initial assessment before march 31st 2003 as there are lot
of pending initial assessment cases still in pending.

So in my understanding it is not the selection interview it is only
the initial assessment that has to be completed before March 31st
2003.If the initial assessment is done before March 31st 2003 then you
are safe under old rules atleast according to CHC NewDelhi.
