re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
We've sold our house now and will be moving into rented accommodation until we go back to Canada - I've been looking on the CIC website about how to update my address and they indicate that the change should be notified to the visa office serving the region in which you live - does anyone know if this is still accurate or whether, because many peoples' applications are being processed by offices other than the ones where they live, it should be notified to the office processing your application?
TIA!
TIA!

Visitor's visa has been extended till Dec 31/15.We applied May 1st and was approved on May 26th...So a lot quicker than the quoted 62 days for people "visiting" in Canada already.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
So. Today is our wedding anniversary, which we decided to ignore due to having sh** loads of packing to do, flying in 48h to Montreal, preparing to enter dual intent.
Then when we finally call it a day, I decide to check eCAS, you know, as you do.
Well, guess what?!?!?! DECISION MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, I guess COPR is on its way here (Northampton) so we'll have to have it redirected back to Canada. Oh well, nobody said it was gonna be easy, did they....

I'll be trying to enter Canada under dual intent on Friday via Vancouver airport. As per the wiki I have a folder of papers containing,
- Receipt showing all PR application fees paid
- Copy of the sponsor approval email
- ECAS screenshots of application
- Printed bank statement showing a healthy balance
- Return flight details
I feel prepared but quite nervous. I'll report back either way!

I feel the same way! We just decided to risk it and get tickets for September. I've been "in process" for four and a half months, so something's gotta give before then. If not - dual intent it is, as much as I'd rather avoid it. Either way - giving notice to our landlord and starting to sort through our things. I'm not looking forward to that...

Cbrown I'm in the UK now, working and plan to stay here until the end of August then head back to Canada, hopefully with PR but if not then dual intent and I will be 3 months closer to PR.

We've just bought a house in Canada so no going back now!
Good luck with the sorting!
