Just Received my wifes passport back from the London office.

In total it took only 2 and a half weeks from me sending it and it arriving in our mailbox. I sent it out on September 8 by UPS, it was received September 12, and we got it back this morning .

Overall our time line was pretty quick.

May 12 2011- Application sent
May 13 2011- Application received
June 14 2011- Application approved Mississauga
June 27 2011- Application received with medicals
August 31 2011 - Passport request email sent
September 8 2011 - Passport mailed UPS
September 12 2011 - Passport received
September 30 2011 - Passport returned with fancy new visa .

Thanks everyone
Kind regards

Hey - my husband had to have an eco cardiogram for a heart flutter they kept hearing - the good thing is....at least they are being very thorough if the doctor sent in all those test results and some of them were inclear it may make your wait time much longer....*chin up* things will get better! I hope your husband is healthy. x

Hi guys, Our application was received on Sept 12 in Miss, whilst we are not expecting a reply for a few more weeks, I was wondering at what point you can check your status online? Would I be able to do that yet?

Also, who's information do I use to check, the sponsors or the principal applicants?
Thanks

usually only online after they process it, so around the time they send you your letter/email.

I always accessed it using sponsors name and receipt number.

When they checked out my daughter they "heard" a heart murmur. We had to get her seen by a specialist which we accessed through or GP and she was given the all clear.

Has he been for any further tests yet?

I am so happy for you all. I can't wait till we send off our application and be done with all this paperwork.

I also just read replies to my previous post regarding my husbands ECG. He went to his own doctor who did an ECG for free and his tests came back normal. My husband scanned the results and sent them to the docotr in Manchester. We are waiting for what they say once they see it.

We are heading for Nova Scotia initially but will go where the work is, possibly Calgary as my OH is in the gas industry. Just putting feelers out for work. We did a reece in 2004 and stayed in Calgary for a month so got to know it quite well but will try NS to start with.

Just to say - you don't have to wait till you get the all clear from the DMP. We went for our medicals on 29th September - my daughter needed forther tests and I had to get copies of letters from my GP. We sent application off before this had been done - and used copied of our recipts as proof. Our medicals were received in London on the 15th November, by which time we had already completed the 1st stage of the application.

I am going over to England this month, so I will bring all my husbands paperwork back when I get home Nov. 1st. Next best thing is for him to mail it to me now, and i send it off before I leave for England October 16th.

Ive been told nova scotia is very nice too, we like calgary it has so much to do and my two older boys love it there and the views of the mountains are beautiful so we don't want to be to far away from there. Good luck for your future move it is frustrating waiting for the first stage approval but before you know it you will get that wonderful news... then the vino will be flowing
