Timeline for Sponsor Approval
What is the general timeline for sponsors' application to be approved?
My son & daughter-in-law's joint application to sponsor me was sent, together with receipt for all fees paid (including PR fee), to Mississauga at the beginning of August and they have heard nothing since. Their joint incomes are several times above the LICO required so there is no problem there.
Is it usual to take this amount of time to get sent the application pack which they must send me?

Well they are a bit delayed at the moment. When my wife applied in the
spousal case which is fastest it still took 5 weeks, so for a parental one
where they must match the financial bit added to the delay it may be a bit
longer. However I doubt it would be much longer.
