Default Timeline from interview to Request for Passport

Hello,

Would anybody be able to guide me as to how long it takes from:
1) Interview to Request for Passport
2) Request for Passport to stamped Passport?

I ask because I have a job offer in Canada that will not be valid if I
am not able to make it there in the next two months (I had my
interview only 4 days ago at the Los Angeles Consulate). Any tips to
make things move as fast as possible?

Thanks

1) From several months to couple years, depending from many factors.

2) Usually 2 to 8+ weeks

You are just about half way through after the interview.

Thank You Mr. Miller. Though it makes me feel miserable 'coz it seems
like I should kiss this job opportunity good-bye *sob*.

(*GRROWWWL*) to my consultant who said it was a 6 - 8 weeks procedure
to completion.
