Temporary Employment (Vancouver)- How to find one
Hello,
I am an landed immigrant living in Vancouver. Finding a job in my field is really
harder than I anticipated. How does one go about finding temporary clerical or
general work in this area ? I had been employed in my field of specialization since
graduating from college hence I don't have any clerical or retail experience. Could
someone please advise me on any agencies that I can contact ..Any agency that helps
new immigrants in this area ? Thanks much.

Try ringing an agency called "the Personnel Dept" (604-685-3530) However, I do know
they have a lot of temps at the moment.
Have you considered trying the local universities and colleges? They often take on
temporary staff. this link http://www.psea.bc.ca/Employment/employment.htm should
help you search them out.
Good luck
