Default Teaching Spanish and /or Latin in Montreal or Toronto

Hello everyone,

I am a US citizen and I know Montreal and Toronto fairly well as a tourist. I have
always wondered what it would be like to live in Canada. I was just in Montreal, and
a friend who is a teacher, was telling me they are always looking for Spanish
teachers. However, she had no idea how I would go about getting a job.

I have 30 years experience teaching Spanish, Latin and Italian, in private schools in
the US, I have a reading knowledge of French and I can get around Montreal in French,
but I would need to study it.

So, any ideas about how I would go about turning this into reality for September,
2003? I am talking about staying only a year or two. Enough to get a feel for what
life in Canada is like and how it is different from life in the US.

Thanks for any ideas you might be able to provide.

Nicholas
