One week after landing last year I moved back to the USA to
resume my work here. Since I have not resided in Canada and
have no income from Canadian sources should I still fill a
tax return there ?

Not unless you are a deemed resident for tax purposes or want to contrive to
pay CPP contributions (sometimes possible, and under certain circumstances
this will improve your eventual pension).
