Default tax filing-- Mr Miller Pls answer

I am going to file the taxes for the whole year. I am going to sponsor the whole family on behalf of that tax filing. I am doing the computer consultancy and making web sites and do the sys aministration. I have to file the taxes on my own ie self employed. Does this matter in immigration when I will apply for my family. I am going to sponsor my parents and brother and a sister.
Pls advise.
Thanks.

Yes, it matters. You can start sponsorship process once you earn minimum
income required for the size of family within 12 months prior to
sponsorship. Remember that your brother and sister can be only included as
dependent children of your parents in the sponsorship application and only
if they are unmarried, financially dependent from parents and under 22 (or
full time students since before turning 22 if they are 22 or older). If your
siblings don't qualify as dependent children of your parents then you can't
sponsor them.

Yes my brother and sister are unmarried and they both are studying.
My question is that does this matters in immigration if I file the taxes on my own that is self employed rather than filing it from a company. Does this makes any difference. I am doing my consultancy on my own but my earning is more than 44,000 dollars which is the minimum amount to sponsor 5 members of family.
My parents are retired but they are taking care of my younger siblings. They all are dependent on me.
Thanks a lot for your answer.

You will have to show more than just tax return to prove your income, so be
prepared to show contracts and invoices to substantiate your claim. There
are many "Canadian PR" who claim to live in Canada and earn required amount
for the purpose of sponsoring and they go as far as filing Canadian tax
returns and paying taxes claiming that they are self-employed in Canada just
to get process going, while in reality they reside in US and are illegible
to sponsor. CIC is becoming more strict with verification of residency and
income, thus make sure that you won't be thrown into the same basket as
those living in US who try to cheat the system. Make sure that you document
your income and Canadian residency beyond any doubts.
