Supervisa Fees

Hi There,

I am really struggling with completing supervisa application. When I go through the supervisa application it is telling that the Fees will be $0. Which is usually a good thing! I am not sure if I am completing the application correctly.

Can anyone please confirm if indeed the fees for Super visa for british national is zero?

Thanks for your help

No, it’s not free. See here - https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

And -
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...isa/about.html

It doesn’t sound like you’re completing it correctly. Are you definitely using the official link to apply? And are you definitely eligible?

As far as I am concerned he/she is not eligible for the Super visa as he/she is currently in Canada as a visitor as indicated in the 2 other threads she has started.

Applying for a Super Visa when you are not eligible to apply for one.
Those who entered Canada on a Super Visa which is normally valid for 2 years can apply to extend their stay up to a maximum of 10 years. That is why that box is on the website.

You did not enter on a Super Visa so you cannot apply to extend your stay using that box and MUST use the one above it.

Re: Supervisa Fees

There was a question where it asked my current country of residence. I selected Canada. That is when they gave me this option. If I select England, there is a different set of option. I do agree with your comments that it is possible that the box is related to someone who is in Canada on Supervisa. However, the application never clarified if that is what it is assuming. The online form asked my status in Canada. I said visitor. Then it asked me if I wish to stay longer than 6 months and then after answeing several other questions it presented these options.

If I select England then the supervisa process shows no fee. If I select Canada as residence there is a fee of $100. This is so confusing.

Is there a number to call CIC that can answer? I googled but not sure which number gets me to right area. If anyone has had any success calling particular number, kindly share.

But you're not resident in Canada. You're only visiting there. You're resident in the UK. The eligibility criteria does tell you you're not eligible to apply from inside Canada - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...igibility.html

When are you returning to the UK? You're best off just waiting and applying from there.

You can call the CIC 'misinformation line', but as the nickname suggests, it's staffed by call members reading off a script and has a reputation for giving out duff info!

Good luck.

Thanks again for all your support. I was hesitant to select resident. But it said that if you are presently in Canada, then select Canada as a resident. I am losing my mind over this.

If selected England (assuming that I will apply when I get there) the fees is coming to $0.

You are NOT resident in Canada - you are a visitor. selecting your actual country of Residence (UK) - you will recieve a different set of options.

The option to extend Super Visa status is ONLY for people that already have a Supervisa.. Not those who are here as visitors without SV status.

Have your children given you a letter for the Supervisa application - and have you submitted a SUPERVISA application previously? If not, that doesn't apply to you, no matter what you wish!

Re: Supervisa Fees

I agree. Its just however doesn't add up. Why would they say that if you are presently in Canada, select Canada. Also, as I said, if selecting UK/England the fees is coming to Zero! Made a few calls to agencies here in Canada. One of them said that they have successfully processed applications of visitor to Supervisa. They do charge hefty fees though. Not sure why. But given this complicated forms, I feel it might be worth it.

Unless the process has changed drastically in the last 7 years, you do not need an agency. We completed the application ourselves.
