Hello-

I'm currently enrolled at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, USA,
and I'm planning on going to the University of Toronto as a visiting student
for one semester in January. I faxed Detroit consulate regarding the
reqruirement for the study permit, but they haven't faxed me back for over a
week.

Could somebody please let me know if I'm required to obtain a study
permit(student permit?) to stay there for four - five months?

There is, however, a chance that I may permanently transfer to the
University of Michigan after one semester, and I do understand that I will
need study permit for sure by then.
