Spousal Sponsorship - Wife Pregnant
Hello,
I have applied for sponsorship of my spouse in December last year from
Buffalo. Her application was forwarded from Mississauga to Buffalo and
Buffalo just started processing her case. She had done her medicals
upfront ahead of time.
It seems that my wife may be pregnant - In such a case :
Do we need to inform CIC about it.
She works and has all her medicals etc in the states. It would be more
affordable if she gave birth to the kid in US.
What do I need to do now in order to avoid any complications in the
future.
Thanks,
Raj

Re: Spousal Sponsorship - Wife Pregnant
You may have a problem if baby is born in US after your wife gets visa. It
is better to land in Canada first and gave birth to baby here. If for some
reasons impossible then baby will have to be added to the sponsorship and
wife's PR application before she lands. If baby is born in US after she
lands then you will have to sponsor baby separately.
