I am trying to find out how difficult and if there is any complications in sponsering
a spouse who is a doctor by profession. She got her MBBS & MD in India. Is there any
merits or demerits for a doctor sponsership ? Can she practise in Canada, if she
chose to ? I am pretty sure somebody in this group would have faced this situation or
know about this. It would be great if you can share any relavent information about
this with me. I live in Toronto,ON.
Thanks

Your wife's profession is not the factor in spousal sponsorship application.
But as for practicing medicine in Canada it is a totally different story - it is next
to impossible for a physician trained outside Canada and US to get licensed to
practice medicine in Canada.
