Hi there,

I like to know if we can sponsor my spouse's mother to Canada (family reunion?). The
question here is my spouse's parents were divoiced more than 15 years ago and the
father got the kids but is deceased. So can my spouse's mother still be eligible for
being sponsored?

Thanks

Anthony

You can sponsor you mother-in-law unless your wife was adopted out of her birth mother's
family. Jim Humphries, former visa officer

Your spouse may sponsor her mother, and you may act as a co-signer. The fact that a
divorce took place does not exclude your mother-in-law from sponsorship at this time.
