Software Pilot Program questions !!!

Hi,
I have a few questions regarding the Pilot Program, here goes :
1. Does it still exist ? I have heard rumours that it is no longer
advertised but applications for this are still accepted ?
2. The work experience criteria says 2 years for most positions. Can
this be partime/contract/voluntary(un-paid) experience or does it have
to be full-time continous experience?
3. Does the work experience have to be post-graduate (after
bachelor's degree) or can it be during the degree and in summers when
still a student?
4. Can the work experience be from more then 1 job listing or does it
have to be ONLY for the position currently applying under?
Thanks in advance
Ankur

1. Yes, it still exists
2. 2 years of full time or full-time equivalent, paid experience
3. It must be experience on the position applied for, thus after obtaining
necessary education to meet employment requirements.
4. see above

Thanks Mr. Miller for the prompt reply.
A follow up question for you.
In answer 3 you stated "obtaining necessary education", can I
interpret this as meaning when I acquired the skills to be competent
in performing the work and not when I actualy graduated? For example I
learned basic networking concepts in my 1st yr. of engineering and was
able to use them while working in the following summerS.
What do you mean by "full-time equivalent".
Will working for 3 summers full time (12 months) and then working for
1 year after graduation qualify as 2 yrs full-time experience?
Thanks
Ankur

Work experience gained after obtaining education level as required for the
particular occupation (as listed in occupation's description in Pilot
Program). Full time equivalent applies to part time work which should be
converted to full time using 37.5 hours as full time week. Work experience
prior to obtaining minimum required education won't count in this program.

Processing time in New Delhi is about 2.5 to 4 years. Check CIC website for
details about pilot program - there are only 7 clearly defined
occupations/jobs eligible for the program and you need proper job offer to
apply.

Hi,
I am presently residing in Toronto.
Can I apply for the Software Pilot Program personally from Buffalo ( I
have U.S. Vistor Visa) ? Will they ask me to apply from within Canada
? Will it be processed the same day, or will it take a few days when
applying from Buffalo?
Merci
Ankur

bring ALL your training certificates and university certificates together with ALL of course syllabus and ALL ORIGINAL letters of reference from previous employers and projects you have worked on. the more you have the better
be prepared to have a half hour interview grilling you on your experience, skills and background
good luck
