Default And so another person begins... first question... anyone know about finger prints?

So I am just about to begin the glorious journey, with no doubts highs and lows. ho ho. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not I had to get finger prints from the UK for police clearance. I have found out the information for getting them done here in Canada but it seems a little ambigiuous as to whether or not I also need to get them from the UK...
help?

Certainly last year the procedure for getting UK police checks (Disclosure Scotland and local police request for national computer check) did not require having your fingerprints taken and submitted. Can't say anything more current than that personally and I'm not sure who you apply to if you not currently residing in the UK but there has been information posted previously so a quick thread search might provide the answer.

No prints required, but it is usually better to go to the horses mouth.
