I am a filipino working in Thailand applied in Singapore CHC and here is
my timeline:

Jan 30,2002 application sent
Feb 02,2002 received AOR
Apr 20,2002 received letter that we need an interview

Untill now we dont know what happened to our application. We can't check
with the e-client since those only applied before Jan 01'02 can access the
service.
Is there anybody here have applied in Singapore?
I have a friend who applied Mar'02 in Manila. He received a letter
stating that his application is under the new law last March '03. Why is it
that he received that notice already and we aren't? Is it true that
Singapore CHC is one of the fastest in processing applications?

Each case is different and each processing centre has its own way of
doing things.

As for Singapore being the fastest, it usually is if you are a
resident or citizen there. generally documents provided are trust
worthy and easily verified being in a small island. Most people I know
got visas in 12 months without interviews. However, new rules make
interviews secordary and I know no one that has been subjected to it

CHC Singapore

Case 1:

My Friend Applied on Jan 20 2002,interview wavied letter with medicals in april 2002,got his visa feb 2003,landed on 23th april 2003 and came back to singapore on 30th april

Case2:

Another Friend applied on May2002,Received Fileno June 2002 after that no news he is still waiting.

Case3:

Myself
Applied on Dec31st 2001,
Interview Req April2002
Attended Interview Feb2003
Medicals March 2003
E-Client Shows Decision Made on May1st
Now Waiting To hear from CHC singapore.
