SIN application problem

Hi all!
I activated my PR by land about 3 weeks ago. Today, I went to Service Canada to get my SIN issued, but was told that something wasn't completed by CIC when landing... This being the case, I was instructed to call CIC, and ask them to complete - The agent told me that he had completed an 'internal form' that the border would receive, and have to action at their end. This was all of the information that I was able to get, and when asked how long it would take, the agent would not say.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? I feel a bit helpless, as I am preparing to begin work in the next two weeks, and this could put the potential opportunity in jeopardy. I called the border, who were convinced that 'no mistakes would have been made'.
What can I do to help this along?!

Have Service Canada point out what is wrong with the COPR form in other words have them highlight it. It could be a missing signature or a date missing or place became PR not filled in or something like that.
Go back to the office where you did the landing if possible or if not to a POE and ask them to correct the COPR form. If still no luck then go to an Inland CIC office and explain the situation.

They told me that the error is something in the system. I think that something wasn't completed online after I landed? The COPR was all filled out correctly, and stapled in my passport.
I just want to know when they will have it sorted so that I can know about work!
