Hey all,

Just a quick question. When a sponsorship & PR application is made, do they send some sort of letter confirming that they have received your application?

Just wondering what to expect (In-Canada route)

You should get a sponsorship approval letter.
Then it's waiting time...
You'll get a ClientID number assigned in that letter, and you can check the status of the PR application online on e-Cas:

thanks Chams, so literally the next thing I'll hear will be approval (hopefully ) of sponsorship, no letter to say, 'It's in the system'

I sent sponsorship applications in arrived there 3/4/2009 ....and its outside canada.. Does that mean u pretty much dont hear anything or can track till u get sponsorship approval letter? and then u get client id to track? Hoping the process doesnt take too long just going from US to canada where my husband lives

yeh u gotta just wait 6 weeks i think should be able to check as i am doing the inland way and sent mine on 24th feb 2009 and wont here anything for 6 months as they are back logged from last year
