Should I or not?
Folks -- I got my medicals with Interview waiver during Nov2002. I did
it at that time and then there was query to perform certail test
again. Even though it's not a big deal I was wondering If should even
pursue Canadian Immigration considering the fact that IT jobs in
Canada is bad. Any advice??

What a dumb question!
If you applied for Canadian PR because you want to live permanently in
Canada then why the question?
But if you are one of those who always look for greener pasture then
you shouldn't apply for PR visa at all and seek work permit instead.
You have to revisit your intentions and answer the question yourself.
Immigration is not about finding a better job for a while -
immigration is about finding opportunities for the rest of your (and
your kids) life. Immigration is a long fight ahead of you to assure
that your kids will have better tomorrow - first generation of
immigrants rarely make it, but their kids are the ones who make the
whole move worth it.

what a dumb reply!
"first generation of
immigrants rarely make it"
sounds like a total loser plan...
lot of the people who come to canada get their citizenships and move onto
united states where they make it..
also many (natural born) canadian engineers, doctors, nurses etc. live and
work in america...

Re: Should I or not?
So are many US born live and work in Canada - about 6,000 to 10,000
Americans immigrate permanently to Canada every year and about 40,000 move
here annually on work permits. Are they all "dumb"?

Re: Should I or not?
the facts says there are less than 6,000 Americans immigrate to Canada per year
in recent history. So Andrew's is not only inaccurate but also exaggerated.
CIC (the monitor) got these numbers for 2001 (5894 US immigrants) and 2002
(5271 US immigrants). The figures are not only less than 6000 but also
declining heavily, about minus 11% from 2001 to 2002.
more statistics to come.
