Default Setting out Employment History

Hi guys,

Im currently trying to get all this together and was just wondering how you set it our, specifically,

- did you ask your employers to insert the NOC codes into their covering letter, or just attache a separate sheet?
- how much detail did their letter go into covering your main responsibilities, c coulple of bullets of a level of detail.

Any help would be great

Thanks, Stu

Hi Stu

I had a number of employers and got varying degrees of assistance from them. I just asked them to confirm the dates I worked for them, applicable salary and asked them to supply as much information in respect of job description/duties as they could.

Some wrotes 1-2 pages, some wrote 1-2 lines.

Good luck

Darren

You don`t need to put NOC cod in you reference letter. There is a place in one of the aplication forms when you put this cod

Stu,
Suggest if you have a good relationship with your ex employersthat you write a summary of your career with them highlighting the key areas that you will need once in Canada. As getting a reference from your current employer may be difficult I would suggest including you job description, coontract, etc along with a note that getting a refernce at this time may affect you position at the company. I have copies of examples I drafted I can email you if you require.

Thanks mate - those examples would be useful. I think i'll be OK in getting a reference from my current employer, but it is definitely a little awkward.
