Default returning a truck in us ?

hi all,
I am planning to move my stuff from us to canada using a rental
van. but there is a catch , i have to return the truck in niagara ( us
) . I dont have US visa i am moving last day of my visa. while
returning back can i explain us and canadian immigration that i am
just going there to return the rental van and come back. One more
thing i can explain that my wife is in canada also ; for the proof of
returning to canada . I am an indian passport holder. any help is
appriciated .

You will not be able to return to the USA without a visa so change your
plans. Moving on the last day of validity of your visa is taking an
unnecessary risk. Any delay and your landing may become toast.

Last I looked the US hadn't required Indian PRs in Canada to need a
visa. But it could get difficult to prove that you've established
residence ... a requirement for entry into the US.

Far better to get a rental that permits a drop in Canada. Even with say
an H1B visa, if he's just moved to Canada, he'd have problems because
he's not got an H1B job any more!
