Requirement for interview waiver?
I'm a U.S. citizen planning on immigrating to Canada with my same-sex
partner. What is the criteria in order to obtain interview waiver?
I'm just wondering even if i'm qualified no-questions asked, since I'm
trying to immigrate with a common-law partner, maybe the interview is
inevitable.
Also, do I get a higher priority at the buffalo processing center since I am
a U.S. citizen, living in the U.S.? If so, what's the estimated timeline?
Thank you.

Re: Requirement for interview waiver?
Interview is waived when processing officer makes a determination that
selection decision can be made solely on the basis on info and documents
supplied with the application, without any need to verify, clarify or assess
anything during the interview. So, the "requirement" is - a perfectly prepared
and strongly presented application package.

P.S.
No, you won't get any "higher priority" just because you are an American,
although background/security check may be speedier if you and your partner
lived only in US.

Andrew, is it possible to give an idea what a "perfectly prepared and strongly presented application package" would typically include in the case of an independant skilled worker application.

I'm sorry but I would be out of business pretty fast if I would give here
freely all my trade secrets... :-)
It also wouldn't be fair to those clients who are paying for my assistance...
