if you're single - try WEST END are .....close to shops, beach, stanley
park, aquatic centre
plenty of good restuarants

you can even take a stroll along pacific avenue all the way to stanley park
and back

North & West Vancouver, the West End and Kitsilano are all great areas.
Stay away from East Vancouver and Joyce Station (Burnaby) due to high
crime. (Note that Vancouver Westside and West Vancouver are two totally
different areas.)

Most landlords don't use real estate agents; they usually have an on-site
manager to deal with their available properties and accordingly, ads for
the suites are posted in the local newspapers.

For current available rentals in North/West Van., go to www.nsnews.com and
check their Classifieds section. You get the best selection on the first
Sunday following the last day of the previous month.

For suites in Vancouver proper, go to http://www.canada.com/vancouver/ and
check their Classifieds section.
