regulations on student authorization...
hello everyone,
It's me again, I'm sorry to keep you guys busy. I have another problem that
concerns my current Student Authorization or the next SA extension...
When I applied for my student visa extension last year, I told the
immigration that this is my last year of study; But today I discovered that
my college offers "Student Intenship Program", it allows the students to
work for their cooperate-partners for a WHOLE YEAR of school term. Is this
legal for me to go for this program? Do I need to apply Work Permit for it?
Is it too late to change my mind to take another "school term", and will
Immigration go after my college because they provide me a "job"? Will my
next SA extension likely/unlikely to be refused?
My study used to be a 2-year diploma, by taking this "Student Intenship
Program", it will become a 3-year diploma; And during the "employing time",
I will have to write a report to the college monthly. And yes, I have to pay
for the 3rd year tuition. And the question again, are these all legal for me
and for the college?
Thank you very much for any useful input.

Re: regulations on student authorization...
Yes I'm replying to myself because I got the solution and would like to
share with others.
ANSWER: I cannot take the co-op program at this point.
However, I can apply for another Student Authorization and get a school
letter to indicate that I'm accepted for their "Student Intenship Program".
When filling out the application, make sure "Student Authorization
Extension" and "Work Permit" are both checked, and we only have to pay $125
for this application.
