Reference Letter - Mr. Miller...please help..
Hello,
I obtained my previous employment reference letter in Nov 2001. The firm where I used to work is no longer in existence. I submitted this reference letter to CIC when I applied for PR in Nov 2001. At present, they have finished the initial assessment of my application and waived my interview. However, they are asking once again for reference letters from previous and current employers. Is it okay, if I submit a notarized copy of the same letter (dated Nov 2001) again?
Thanks.

I can't really say what should be submitted and why you are required to
submit past employment reference letters again without seeing your case - it
may be that your reference letter obtained in 2001 wasn't sufficient enough
or that it was impossible to verify. Firm may not exist anymore but your
employer and/or direct supervisor are most likely still around and you
should try to obtain updated letters from one or both of them. If you cannot
then submit what you have but with full explanation of reasons.
