Recommended Canada immigration consultants
Hello everyone
I was wondering if there's a list of recommended Canada immigration consultants that can assist me in my applications to Canada.
Thank you

And of course, unless you have complicated circumstances, then you can do it yourself fairly easily.
HTH, good luck.

Hello
thanks for your answer. But a search does not provide me anyone. Any chance you could direct me to those consultants.
Thanks

Plenty of threads about it if you do a search, there's no 'list' as such. There's only one or two that are regularly recommended, so it shouldn't take you long to find them.

If you do a search on immigration consultants on the forum, you will be sure to find ones that definitely aren't recommended.... That would at least be a starting point! Brazalot is one that comes to mind and I am speaking from experience....!

Most people are perfectly capable to do their own oil/filter change, or swap the summer wheels for the winter ones, if they wanted too. What they lack is either confidence, or the time to do it.

I suspect that the bit I highlighted in red could apply to their need to hire lawyers, accountants, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.

I don't disagree. I am just amazed with the whole, "Don't bother, do it yourself" attitude toward consultants on this board.

I'm certainly a lot more pro consultant than most on the forum, but imo there are two reasons why most hire a consultant - one, if they have circumstances that mean their application will be more complicated than the norm, or two, that they just don't have the time/the ability/the inclination for form filling.

Its not really a surprise to me considering that according to a poll a while back 2/3 or 3/4 of the people posting here did it themselves... its only natural that the posts will reflect the experiences of the posters.

We used Eric Katz back in 2006, initially as PR skilled worker application then for a work permit when my husband managed to get a job prior to moving. He was very professional and prompt with correspondence.

We used Abrams & Krochak (search for AKCanada) in Toronto - exemplary service, would recommend them any time.
Good luck with however you decide to proceed.
Personally, they were worth every cent, but each to their own.

No one can guarantee a positive outcome. What if you fail the medical for example.

Re: Recommended Canada immigration consultants
Anyone who believes a 'consultant' can guarantee a result would be very misguided. A consultant can advise on the prospects, what documents to gather, check forms for you and send them off to CIC. After that, everyone is in with the same chance of success or failure, whether they did their own forms or had someone else do them.
In my view, anyone who is competent at reading directions, filling in forms and getting organised can do this themselves with ease. Even complicated cases can be done solo. If one has the confidence in their abilities to do this, go solo and save the money, if not consider getting help from a consultant. It is impossible for any one person to say how well another would do at the process.

If you're a bit of control freak then that's one reason for doing it yourself...
If you're wary of paying money to someone whose competence, qualifications and experience are unknown to you in what seems to be an unregulated industry, then that's another reason for doing it yourself.
Personally I'd rather check everything myself than rely on a stranger!
