RCMP expiration?

RCMP expiration?
Hi guys,
I've just heard that Canada have approved my hubby as my spouse and now the application is on its way to London to carry on the process. Good news all round.
The only thing I am a bit concerned about is that I was in Canada for a few days short of 6 months from May to November last year, so upon leaving, I obtained a police clearance from the local RCMP in preperation for sending the app off. Now I am worried that as I got it back in November it may have expired? Does anyone know if the clearances are only valid for 6 months or if it is a year?
To be honest I was't even sure I needed one, but after reading previous messages I'm glad I sent it. Also, what is the average processing time for us now dya think? Vey grateful for any help! Amber
