Default Questions on the evidence of funds and payment

Hi,

I am preparing the application for immigration. I am the principal and my
wife is the dependent applicant.

1. Do we have to make TWO seperate payments for application fee . Say, one
money order paid by me and another money order paid by my wife ?
2. All my money are in my bank CHECKING account. I do not have SAVING
account . Do we have to show the evidence of fund from SAVING account ?

Thanks
Songlan

One payment, amounts in chequing account should be fine, as long as there
are not large deposits just before application.
