Dear friends and experts,


I am currently waiting for my file to be transferred from Buffalo to the Ne=
w York Consulate office, and for the interview date to be made.

Originally, I applied in Buffalo in June of 2002.

I received a letter from the Canadian Consulate dated Sep 2003, and then ag=
ain in Dec 2003, stating that an interview will be required, and that my fi=
les will be transferred in the future.

1. Once my interview date is scheduled, how much time in advance will they=
notify me? I currently live in Europe and I do hope that they will offer =
enough time to schedule flights, and request time off from my employer.

2. Anyone in a similar situation? Applied in June 2002, and waiting for I=
nterview date to be scheduled? Any news?

I applied in September 2002.Recieved AOR in Nov 2002 then IA in Nov
2003 indicating that file would be transferred to New York for
Interview..Four months have now passed so as I am currently in Canada
I telephoned the call center and I found out that up to last week my
file was still in Buffalo..So I guess the waiting process goes
on..good luck

Applied: July 2002
AOR: Nov 2002
Initial Assessment: Nov 2003, Interview Waived Medical and RCMP Fingerprinting
New Status: Feb 2004 File transfered to Seattle for Interview

Havent heard from them since then..........

I guess the waiting game is on.

My situation is pretty similar. I applied in august, got AOR in December. Recieved a letter from Buffalo last month that they are transffeing my file to LA, California. The letter said that if i require an interview they will let me know.

I dont know how long would it take?

right...does anybody know how long does it take to get the interview date letter in New York? I mean from the time in which they transfer the file from Buffalo to New York, how long does it take to get through the interview queue?

Hi Guys

I got a letter yesterday, it was dated 2nd March, saying that my file
has been transfered to Seattle. It also said that Seattle office will
contact me and that i should not contact Buffalo any more.

So now the wait is on to get a letter from Seattle for an Interview.

What going on with all of you guys........
