Hi all, does anyone knew, when you apply for a PCC from Indian
consulate in U.S, the date on the PCC,is the date the consulate issues
you the PCC or the date they get the clearance from India?

I have this question because, I requested a PCC last year from Indian
consulate in SFO, but I never sent my passport to get the clearance
certificate.

Now I need it, when I called them, they told me they still have it.
But I am not sure, if they give it to me now, it's going to valid or
not.

Any ideas.
