Question to Jim Metcalfe
Hello JIM!
Yesterday i asked here what are my chances to receive P.R if i have
only 72 pts. and i mentioned that my wife's family owns a business in
Toronto and wants us to join them there.I've also noticed that i have
enough financial sources.
You Jim answered me to obtain from them a job offer validated by
HRDC.Well, that's what we trying to do these days but the problem is to
proof that there are no canadian citizens available for this job.My
single advantage on the others is the familiar relationship. Is this
enough?What do you suggest?
Thank you in advance for your answer.

Re: Question to Jim Metcalfe
the idea is it has to be a real genuine job, if you say they are just
creating the job for a family member who is a foeriegn national i dont fancy
yoru chances of it being validated. They need to deonstrate that they first
of all havea job vacancy, say they need an office administrator fo rtheir
office. they then need to show that they have advertised this job is
available and for it to be validated for you they need to prove that they
have had no Canadian applicants who could do the job and so were forced to
emply a foreign national. They will check it's a genuine job paying a proper
salary that a Canadian would work for in that job.
This is why it can be difficult to get this unless you are going to do a job
that you have highly specialised skills in.
For example say your family was italian and their business was an italian
resteraunt and they needed a special kind of assistant chef who could make
preoper authentic Itlaian food of somekind and they coudlnt find any
Canadians who could make it right then possibly youd have the advantage, but
they cant discriminate i dont think.
