Question From Experts esp:Mr.Miller, BigHead, and Mr.David (Regarding Quebec)
Dear Experts,
I applied for Quebec in 2000, interviewed in April 2002, received CSQ
in June 2002, and forwarded
it in August 2002 with new Application forms and Fees for Federal
Immigration(ISLAMABAD,
PAKISTAN). Received AOR in 3rd week of August with File No. I've some
confusions but i m
certain that u people must have the answers to the following.
When is the Background and Security check initiated for people
intending for Quebec? Is it initiated after the federal immigration
receives the File, or after my Medicals and how long will it take?
When should i expect my Medical forms? Is there any special
priority for people intending for Quebec province? And how long will
it normally take after the Medicals, to get request for Passport?
Will i again be requested to send my Financial information when
they will be close to issue the visa, and can i show any other asset
other than cash , like a car and house which r on my name as a proof
of financial information.
So , As a whole how much time i will have to wait for this Complete
Process. It seems that Quebec Process is much more lengthier than the
Federal one.
I hope with the knowledgeable replies , i will be able to understand
the process thoroughly.

Background clearances for Quebec destined applicants are initiated
following submission of the Federal application, after those immigration
officials have concluded paper screening of the case. Medical
examination forms would be issued to the applicant at approximately the
same time.
The process for a Quebec applicant on the Federal side is identical to
that of a Federal candidate who has received an interview waiver. The
Federal immigration authorities would generally interview an applicant
only if concerns about security or authenticity exist.
