A question for the experts.
My sister has been living in Vancouver for 30 years. She is married to a Canadian and has two grown children.
My neighbour tells me that if my sister wants to go to England, she will need a Canadian citizenship card in order to get back into Canada. My sister is not a Canadian citizen. We are thinking of visiting my Mom and sister in England next year. What documentary evidence will my sister need in order to get back into Canada?
I am a Canadian citizen. I have a Canadian passport. Will I need to produce my citizenship card as well, in order to get back into Canada. I was in England last summer (2002) and I just showed my Canadian passport. Have things changed?
I appreciate your help.

Canadian passport is all you need to return.
But what is your sister's status here if she is not a citizen? What passport
she holds?

The last time I asked her she had a UK passport. She is a landed immigrant - or whatever they call them nowadays. I gave her heck becuase the subject only came up when I asked her about an election and she said she couldn't vote becuase she isn't a Canadian citizen.
