Quebec immigration : "free" application useful ?

Bonjour,

I was wondering whether actually doing the "free" immigration application (that tells
you whether you have the required points) helps to go on to the next stage, or
whether if you're sure to score the 30 necessary points it just adds another two to
three months to your overall application ? (I achieve the 30 points with
"unquestionnable" info such as age, academics, professionnal experience and
languages, even crediting myself with low points in languages ).
