Default proof of funds question, and another

sorry if this question has already been asked, but just wondering, when they say proof of funds, does that mean actual available money or the money that we could get from selling our house?
Thanks

Also, I read somewhere that you need to send a copy of the biometrics page of your passport, mine is old and doesn't have one, does this matter?

Not only has it already been asked, you're not even the first person to ask it TODAY!!!!

Have a dig around on the threads and find everything about proof of funds you could ever wish to know.

Can't help with the bio-metrics page, as I got a new passport two years ago. Sorry.
