Proof of funds ... conflict of information
I am applying for extension to my work visa for Ontario, and have to provide the proof of funds.
I am unsure of how much exactly to show. I have approximately $7,000 in my joint bank account. Recently I enquired in a few circles as to how much to show. The answers were either $5,000 or $10,000.
I'm unsure which value to show. $10,000 shouldn't be a great problem to show, but it will mean cashing in savings and losing the interest.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Just show what you have in both, bank accounts and other savings, although it is not as important when applying for Work Permit extension. Question is relevant when applying for TRV or Study Permit extension.

So I'm presuming that the amount is $10,000. I'm naturally paranoid, so if this is the case then I will endeavour to have the cash in the bank.
Many thanks,
Christian.

As I said - funds are not important when applying for work permit extension. Show what you have without complicating the matter.
