Dear All
I had been asked by the canadian immigration authorities to show proof of funds at
landing.I sent them a photocopy of a bankers cheque worth USD 20,000/-.But now i have
been again asked to show proof of funds in the country where i am living now.(at
present i am living in middle east eventhough i am an indian citizen).
My question is if i sent them a photo copy of the reciept for Travellers cheques USD
22000/- and my present bank statement showing funds USD 10000/- will it be enough or
they will need any further proof.
Please anybody advice at the earliest for which i will be grateful.
Thanks

If the receipt for the traveller's cheques indicate your name specifically, the above
should suffice for the purpose of demonstrating settlement funds.

Seems to me they are concerned about trasferable funds and they are = perhaps even
more concerned about your own personal situation. Perhaps = they are questioning
whether the funds are yours.
