project managers in Canada
My Girlfriend (soon to be wife) and I are hoping to emmigrate to Canada from the UK shortly. She has a number of years experience and currently works as a project manager for a large computer company. I have been self empleyed for the past 15 years as a web/graphic designer and musician. Does anyone know how many opportunities there are in Canada for project managers.

Dear Friend:
Sorry to say that, but there is no scope for IT managers. Better just stay
there and live a better life. Once the economy starts improving, which is
currently on it's way up, your wife can find a good job here.
That's just my advise.
Best of luck

Project managers are a dime a dozen in most areas at the moment. It's
considered a portable skill ... so people doing IT project management
have gone into other areas.
That said, many project managers are finding jobs if they have something
unique to offer such as unusual expertise in a particular market segment
of the industry. They are also getting short term contract positions
more than "permanent employment".
