Processing time difference: spouse vs independent
Hi,
For Buffalo, is there a processing time difference between a spousal
sponsorship and an independent PR application. The reason I ask this is that
I remember my sister in law got her PR visa( sposored by my brother) in 6
months while an independent PR application takes anywhere from 2-4 years.
If there is a difference, what is the approximate time(probable) for a
spousal application.
Thanks you.
R.

All things being equal, CIC tries to process spousal applications within 6
months.
