Dear Mr. Miller/experts/friends:
My friends are planning to apply Canadian PR and score 77 according to the new
grid. Since we have heard that the Beijing post has been long backlogged, we are
wondering if this is a good time to submit application, or better off wait a
while(a few months).
If drop in the application now, roughly how long it takes to get initial assessment
notice/interview waiver or notice?
Your comments are very important and very appreciated.
Thank a lot. Derrick

Sooner is always better because applications are generally processed in the order
received. Jim Humphries

Good day Sir,
To start with, Me and my fiancee applied separately for Canadian PR last year at CIC Manila and they received our application on the date of Dec. 20,2001. Furthermore, She received her AOR on Jan. 17,2002 and initial assessment on May 13, 2002 with Interview required. And I received my AOR on Jan. 21, 2002 and initial assessment still waiting from CIC Manila.
My Question is there a possibility that my application would took several more months to be processs apart from my fiancee coz, somebody informed me that CIC just pick application from the bundle of paperwork and if you're in luck one of the application picked might turn out to be yours. In addition, Is there a chance that I could end up with Interview Waived and likewise for my fiancee, coz I really would much glad to know that both of us will be able to immigrate to Canada together at the same date.
Your response is highly appreciated, Thank you.

They are processed in the order that they were received. And since you applied seperately then they will be assessed seperately. If she needs an interview, then she needs an interview. You may still have a chance at getting a waiver.

Well your question was answered once before. The files are processed in the order
that they are received within their priority (Family class receive a higher
priority). You fiancee has been told that she needs an interview, therefor she will
not get an interview waiver. On the other hand since you have not received an
interview notice, there is a chance that you could still receive a waiver.
