Problem with e-Client service system
Hi! I submitted my application to the Embassy in Vienna. Yesterday, I got a mail "Acknowledgement of receipt" with the file number. I tried to check the status of my application by e-Client service , however, the system was not able to identify it . What should I do?

Yes, remember this "E-client is the devil." It is almost completely unreliable. It is really useful for one thing: It tells you the date your case was officially opened. Some offices are better than others and provide some more information.
That being said, most of us check it at least twice a week, and when we think its our turn for finalization, we check it once a day.

How dare you guys speak about E-Client with such disrespect???
From experience, I can tell you not to bother start checking your e-client until after Initial assessment and sending your medicals. The only time e-client is useful before that is if CIC asked for an interview!
E-client as it is today doesn't really tell you much. I wouldn't say it is not reliable because it doesn't tell you much to begin with! I wish they would add a "bring forward date" line. Atleast it would give people a sense of when the CIC officer will look at one's application again!

BTW> I am worried about this new section from the guide to the medical exam:
Section 86 - INDICATION OF E/CLIENT ABUSE
E/client abuse is a serious mental problem potentially impeding the applicants mental ability to function as a part of society as well as placing significant excess demand on health and social services. The CAGE questionnaire is a useful tool for screening individuals at increased risk for e/client abuse. It asks four questions:
❙ Have you ever felt that you should Cut down on your e?client checking?
❙ Have people ever Annoyed you by criticizing your checking habbits?
❙ Have you ever felt bad or Guilty about checking?
❙ Have you ever taken an e/client check first thing in the morning (Eye-opener) to steady your nerves or to get rid of in-process-anxiety?
If two or more of these questions are answered Yes, OR if e/client frequency is:
❙ greater than 14 checks per week or more than 4 per occasion for women, or
❙ greater than 7 checks per week or more than 3 per occasion for men,
then a detailed assessment of their abuse or dependence status
is necessary. This specialist’s assessment report must include the clinical history, assessment for mental changes on physical, cognitive and laboratory examination, reports from relevant investigations, the diagnosis including Axis V Global Assessment of Functioning score, history of abstinence and an opinion on prognosis.
Dont ask me why the sanity benchmark is lower on men
Lucky you MJ having gotten through the medical before this new regulation :scared:
