since yesterday i have been searching and asking forums. now i came across this forum and found that there are former visa officers helpng people out with their problems here, what a great frorum WOW
i registered immediately and here i go.
i felt like sharing my problem as i am thinking to apply as principle applicant and my husband as dependent. i have 72 points and he has 70 points so i better apply.
as i looked the forms we have to put details of every family member including brothers and sisters.
i have one peculiar problem may be nobody has that but former visa officer may hav come across such
the problem with my husband is he has a younger brother who is actually 20 months younger than him (by birth) but my husband from his school certificates, and passports whatever the official documents has his age one year younger than what he should have been which makes the difference between he and his younger brother just 8 months. it doesnot sound feasible, does it??
though his brother has nothing to do with our immigration purpose but still we want to enter the date of births as they appear in both of their official and legal documents. may be in future he may need us for his immigration purposes
is this anything to worry about as long as the DOB are there in both of their passports
will the IO think something suspicious about it or call for interview
just wondering
thank you

maybe nobody has come across or experienced similar problems

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice but didn't want you thinking you were being ignored!
It has to be remembered that those people who have already emigrated are several hours behind us and therefore their responses are usually made when we're tucked up safely in our beds.
I'm sure someone will be able to help it just takes a little time.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about this. Here's the way I look at it....
It is NOT impossible for siblings to be 8 months apart. A woman "is" capable of getting pregnant soon after giving birth and after which there is such a thing as premature birth.
Another theory would be that siblings can be even days apart if one was to consider the fact that people adopt despite having their own kids.
Of course, the above are just my thoughts and why I would not be concerned if I was in your position. Hopefully you can find someone who has had such an experience and can better answer your question. Good luck.

I seriously wouldnt worry about it , but am not belittling your worries as we all have them when completing these forms.
If at the time of processing they want to clarify this they can always request the brothers birth certificate to double check you entry on the application form.
Think one of the reasons that they ask all of this information about siblings is just in case once you are here in Canada as a PR and his brother wanted to apply to come out then they have a cross reference point for the siblings.
I would go ahead and enter the official document dates as you can prove this dates with birth certificates.
Hope this helps just a little - sometimes Andrew Miller and Jim Humphries are tied up in their own little worlds and busy can take a few days to spot a post.
Good Luck

If you have filled in all of the forms and got together evidence as stipulated then I would wait for CIC to ask for any further information that they require.
Good Luck to you too

I have something (not really similar but may be relevant).
Both my wife and myself:-
1. Do not have birth carts.
2. Exact date of birth are unknown.
3. There are different date of birth on various documents.
4. Some of our family member write their names in different ways.
My lawyer advised me to prepare a statutory declaration explaining these all issues and submit with application.
Please do it now rather then wait for them to seek clarification, as if you clear all possible questions now then your application could process faster (mean without interview). Otherwise visa officer would have no choice but to call for interview and it would delay process by few years (in case of India).
