Default Probably been asked before Spouse open working visa

I know this has probably been asked before ..But i Am coming out to Regina on 15th april ...How long before my spouse can join me And/or will she Get an 'Open' visa to work
Any help Appreciated

She can certainly accompany you, whether she can work or not will depend on what your job is though.

OK which Province will depend on if she is eligible for SOWP as a truck driver is skill level C on the NOC and usually SOWPs are given in the skill levels 0, A or B levels. Those destined to Alberta are eligible

Ok, so no. As truck driving isn't classed as a skilled job she cannot get an open work permit.

Either she finds an employer that gets a LMO for her or she has to wait until you all got PR. Or if she is under 30 she could apply for an IEC visa.

hey bud ,,i think others going your way found out when they go for provincial nomination by Sk (after 6months work) the OH receives an open work permit.

Spouses of Provincial Nominees are entitled to an open work permit regardless of the skill level of the principal applicant(http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resourc.../op07b-eng.pdf OP 7b page 10). So you'd have to work at least 6 months and then apply for the SINP. Processing times are about 3 months.
