first of all i wish to wish you all a very happy christmas and im sory we have not been on here for so long, but we just dont seem to have much time.

anyway down to our question,back last year we were approved for the nomineee program, so whilst waiting, after sending all our paperwork off for PR we have just found out that my partner is pregnant, now this was not planned,and was a bloody surprise, but does anyone know where we stand on this, i know that it might hold up the application, because she cant have xray's done, but is there any othe compications we hope not

If you are not in Canada now and X-rays are not done then you will have to await the birth of the child and add it to your application, pay the extra fee, obtain a passport etc. If you are in Canada on a TWP, say, or visitor visa then you would delay the medicals until after the birth of a Canadian child that need not be added to your application because it is Canadian.

If your TWP ends before you now get PR, you will have to extend your TWP, but remember the processing times have extend to over 80 days.

Your Health coverage may also be linked to a valid TWP.

in Ontario you need to meet the requirement to apply or renew OHIP, one being either a PR or a valid TWP.

I would suggest you to go ahead with all the medicals instead of putting the whole process on hold.
It is what we did and it worked out just fine ... child Canadian , gotten the PR and Health coverage on time .
everything was fine

we are not going to put it on hold, we will go through with it all up to a point, we can go any further, i did read on here somewhere that all the medicals were done, except for the xray, and that was done on a later date, so just will take the process as far as we can.

will it help us if we have a canadian child now then

If you have medical insurance it will cost you very little if anything. And there is considerable inconvenience and delay if the child must be added to your application because not Canadian.

That all depends on timing, You cannot get the Xray done, that means you will not complete PR. When does your TWP run out and is your provincial health coverage linked to it?

If your due date is closed to this date and you do not renew in time you could be in the mess I was, but perhaps with only a $5k bill for a natural birth perhaps
